Because vegan parm is most often made from nuts here’s an equally delicious recipe for Nut Free Vegan Parmesan! This version uses hemp seeds (sometimes called hemp hearts). So now even if you are nut free you can enjoy some vegan parmesan topping on your pasta, soups, salads and even in sandwiches.
Hemp Seeds Whats the Deal?
Hemp seeds have a delicious nutty flavour and contain a whopping 10g of protein per 3 tablespoons!
But thats not all, they are also a great source of Omega 3s, fibre and magnesium. That 3 tbsps also contains 50% of your daily magnesium needs.
These little powerhouses are right up there with chia and flax seeds as a superfood.
Great to add in your smoothies or use in this vegan parmesan recipe and sprinkle liberally on any variety of meals.
