Superfood Chocolate Porridge

  • 25 g oats
  • 2 tbsp almond flour or ground almonds or use a tbsp of your favourite nut butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp maca if you don't have any just leave it out
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxmeal
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao NOT cocoa
  • 1-2 dates chopped optional if you want some sweetness
  • 215 g dairy milk of choice I used almond
  • 1 handful blueberries fresh or frozen


  1. If you're using a thermomix: add the dates (if you're using) into the mixing bowl and chop 3-5 seconds / speed 6.  Then add everything else and cook 6 mins / 100 degrees / Reverse speed 1.  Serve topped with your blueberries. Enjoy

  2. If you want your porridge to be smooth, put the oats and dates into the mixing bowl and grind 5 seconds / speed 8.  Then add everything else and cook 5 minutes / 90 degrees / speed 4

  3. Non thermomix users:  Put everything except the berries into a small saucepan on medium heat, bring to a simmer and keep stirring until its cooked to your liking.  Serve topped with the berries.  Enjoy!
